Many classes are available for guests of The Lodge, and can be arranged in advance. Anna runs classes on wire sculpting and sourdough bread baking. Other classes taught by specialised people can also be organised and tailored to guests’ requirements. These include drawing, painting, willow sculpting, basket making, photography, and personal training. Hatha yoga is a beautiful practice intended for everyone, whether you’re a complete beginner or a regular yogi. You can enjoy a calming and uplifting hour of meditation, yoga and relaxation in your holiday cottage or outside, with the Wolds as your back drop.

Anna is an expert in the art of wire sculpting and has completed many private commissions . Guests can join in a fun filled class with Anna. The best part is you get to take home your very own handmade wire sculpture for your garden.
The courses start at 10am and finish at 5pm and include light refreshments. Prices are £140 per person per day, for a minimum of 4 people and a maximum of 8.
Painting and drawing classes can be arranged at Northfield Lodge.
Northfield Lodge offers beautiful surroundings, both landscape and floral, and is the perfect environment for artists to bring their creativity to the fore.
The classes (for beginners through to advanced) are taught by experienced artists in various mediums and need to be booked well in advance please.
Anna is a passionate cook and will teach you in the art of making simple sourdough bread. She has loads of tips to get you started as a sourdough baker and you will bake your own loaf.
The price is £35 person and you’ll also get some sourdough starter to take home.
A fabulous cottage surrounded by the most stunning countryside. Lots of great walks in the surrounding area and wildlife in abundance! The cottage is immaculately clean and comfortable…. the beds were so cosy!
